I thought that while the UK was still in the EU, a "work permit" (I think they call them something else) for a Croatian was a formality - they just need an employer (i.e., West Ham United) to say they are going to employ them, and they're in.
That's what I remember from when Bilic was given the job.

Because they need work permits so are hard to sign if they're not full internationals.
*Unless you're a "top four" club in which case its no problem at all.

Coric is the business. He'd rip teams apart, loves to run at the oppo and doesn't go down like a sack when tackled...seems to either draw fouls whilst protecting himself or rides through them. Skillful, I think we would love him!

Its like Mourinho not looking to Portugal, Klopp to Germany, Pep to Spain, Conte to Italy, why should Bilic be any different, its a world game these days and about the player rather than nationality or what language they speak.
Can only help in some ways but i think its pretty down the list when it comes to priorities in what they look for in a player.

It doesn't hurt to ask...The big clubs can't stockpile everybody...although they try their very best...players if they are good want to play

I imagine the ones worth acquiring are in high demand from 'bigger' clubs, or already at big clubs.
